ABOUT MOISSANITES
DURABILITY
Gemstones are measured on the Mohs Scale of Hardness, which rates a gem's resistance to scratching. Diamonds are the hardest known mineral, with a hardness of 10 on the Mohs Scale of Hardness whereas, Moissanite gemstones are just marginally lower with a hardness of 9.25 on the Mohs Scale, making them suitable for daily wear.

BRILLIANCE
The brilliance of a gem is the appearance of light reflected from its interior. Moissanite is a variety of the mineral corundum, which is known for its colour and brilliance. Moissanite has different faceting patterns than natural diamonds do, but some people feel that the heightened brightness of moissanite makes them more likely to create a “disco ball” effect in sunlight. The refractive index of moissanite is between 2.65 and 2.69, which is higher than a natural diamond's (1.97), meaning it reflects light more efficiently than diamonds do.
COLOUR
Moissanites today offer a diverse color range comparable to white diamonds. In the past, "Classic" moissanite displayed yellowish or brownish hues, akin to J through M colour diamonds, ideal for yellow gold, rose gold settings, and vintage designs. Now, moissanite is available in colours equivalent to "Near Colourless" G to I range and "Colourless" D through F range, granting buyers a multitude of options to mimic their preferred diamond aesthetics. However, it's important to note that moissanite's colour may vary based on lighting, occasionally displaying slight yellow or yellow-green undertones.

PRICE
For the same size from the top view, moissanites are dramatically lower in pricing than both natural and lab-grown diamonds of that size. True14 assists you to get timeless moissanite studded gold jewellery for as low as ₹5000 per carat whereas a similar natural diamond configuration costs upwards of ₹2,50,000.
